The 2003 Meeting of Directors of
Meteorological Services of CMO Member States (Belize, 15
December 2003) agreed to the establishment of a CMO
Operational Meteorology Advisory Group (COMAG). The 43rd
session of the Caribbean Meteorological Council (Belize,
18-19 December 2003), endorsed the establishment of COMAG,
welcomed the Draft Terms of Reference prepared and
circulated by Belize during the session, and requested
Members to submit their comments on the Draft Terms of
Reference to the Coordinating Director of the CMO.
The 45th Session of the Caribbean
Meteorological Council (Trinidad and Tobago, 8-9 December
2005), endorsed the establishment of COMAG, and requested
Members to nominate a member of their staff to serve on
COMAG.
COMAG is comprised of seven (7) members,
which is made up of four (4) Senior Meteorologists from
Members States of the CMO with a forecast office, a
Meteorologist from a Member State of the CMO that operates a
non-forecast office Meteorological Service, one lecturer
from the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology
(CIMH) and the Science and Technology Officer from the CMO.
