In January 2012, Island Builders was awarded the contract to construct a 16.9 metre concrete reinforced radar tower to house a dual polarized Doppler weather radar for the Cayman Islands Airports Authority.
The is located in in East End in Grand Cayman, of the the Wilderness Estate which was formerly the prison farm.
The scope of works includes the construction of the building, provision of a propane generator and fuel tanks, provision of air-conditioning units and electrical hoist.
